Christmas Love

December 25, 2017 by Ellen 6 Comments

This is love:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13 NKJV

Born to die so that all who believe may live.  God gave us Jesus – willingly gave us His Son to die for our sins, so that we can live. Jesus willingly went to the cross for us. That is pure love.

And as I pray and thank God for this precious gift, and for loving me, I must ask myself: would I lay down my life for Him? Would I lay down the plans I have made for my life, to pick up His plan for me? Something to ponder in the coming days…

Son of God, love’s pure light…

Merry Christmas! May you and your be filled to overflowing with the love of Jesus today and always.

Ellen, I miss you! And I love the look of your beautiful new blog header and tagline. Beautiful, friend! Just today God called me to lay my own plan aside for His. Perfect timing. 🙂

I miss you too! Isn’t it funny, that at times even our BEST plans are not HIS plans for us. Grateful for your willingness to lay aside your plans. I know our God will work mightily through you, friend!

Welcome!

Torrential rains had been pelting us for weeks. With the rains came weeds growing tall in the flower beds. But I noticed other new growth, too. It wasn’t colorful flowers. It was teeny, tiny little oak trees! Squirrels had been working hard, burying food for later. The rains had soaked and softened … Read More...
